AWS Customers outside US: Gain Access to the AWS Marketplace 2560 1920 Jon Leach

We are an active user of the AWS Marketplace. Through the Marketplace we can buy and sell Reserved Instances (RIs) to reduce our clients’ cloud costs and increase their ROI.

Companies with no US bank accounts cannot access the Marketplace for selling their instances. Parquantix gives non-U.S. companies access to the AWS Marketplace.

U.S. Bank Account Requirement

Basically, the Marketplace in different regions suffers from a lack of RI sellers and buyers because not enough companies meet one simple requirement from Amazon to sell their RIs; Marketplace participants must have a U.S. bank account. Based on our experience, this requirement is not going to change any time soon. So how do we address this barrier for businesses and create thriving Marketplaces like the one in the U.S.?

Our solution is simple. We sell our non-US clients’ RIs on their behalf. We collect the receipts from AWS and then credit our client. We manage RIs for many companies outside the U.S. and mitigate risks by guaranteeing unused RIs. As we continue to grow with clients outside the U.S., the volume of RIs to be bought and sold will increase. This will ultimately reduce the risk of owning RIs for all companies in a region.

Contact us to discuss how we can help you sell your RIs if you are located outside of the U.S. Please note that this service is only available for companies on contract with Parquantix.
